The Market

A family market with roots embedded in the Westport community, Lees has always valued its relationship with the community, and its relationship with us. This sense of place and our contributions to the growth, integrity, and rich tradition of Westport and the surrounding communities is why Lees has been the hub of the community for over sixty years. Through our passion for food and the community support that we have received for decades, Lees Market has evolved into a world-class food and spirits market devoted to the total shopping experience.

Spend some time with us and we’re confident you’ll agree that Lees is truly one-of-a-kind experience. Whether you are shopping for everyday staples, specialty and natural foods, freshly prepared entrees, beer, wine and spirits, or the freshest meats and produce available, you will find it at Lees.

We’re very proud of our unmatched selection of wonderful food. Always on the lookout for new items, our managers purchase from over 250 suppliers, from the largest grocery wholesaler in the United States to the local husband and wife team around the corner. Part of the excitement for us is to introduce new foods to our community and to track down the obscure things you ask us to bring in. It’s always exciting to track down specific items that you’re interested in too. Many of these become regular fixtures on our shelves.

Customer satisfaction is the reason that we exist. Most of our staff have decades of experience at Lees honing their skills as food professionals and as community ambassadors. They truly value what they do. You won’t hear the word “no” here–we will make it happen with a smile. We promise a friendly, convenient, clean, well-organized store that has the feel of an old-time neighborhood market, yet with an unsurpassed selection. Our staff and management are deeply invested in the product, the customer, and the community, so it’s easy for us to fully invest in the details needed to ensure that you enjoy your experience here from beginning to end.

Local commitment: We’re all part of this community, and we appreciate how unique and lovely it is. Preserving its traditions, its industries, and its work- and lifestyles is at the core of our mission. From supporting local farmers to giving back to the community that supports us, it’s that circle of care that keeps it the kind of place we want to live and work.
